To give or NOT to give???

Yesterday I went to Walmart and was surprised to see a hispanic woman standing in front of the door holding a hand written cardboard sign that said, Mother of three, Jobless, and some other stuff but I didn't stick around to read it all. She was asking for money. She was talking in a whisper, sounded like she was crying. I gave her a dollar. First time I've seen someone in front of a store like that.

I fealt bad for her, but to tell you the truth, I'm jobless right now myself. I thought after I went into the store "should I have given her that doller?, I'm jobless too". I had to fill out a ton paper work with the Employment Commission to get that dollar. And they're not giving me enough of those dollars to pay all my bills. Oh well, I didn't go back to ask for it back lol.

I told a Walmart employee (who I knew) about her, and told them to go give that lady a job please. I'm not sure what happened. She was gone when I came out. It was sad to see. I would think that pan handling would be very hard to do. Asking strangers for money, looking desperate. Is it easy for some people?

My little Easter Baby

I love being a Grandmother for the first time. I wish my son and his Family lived a little closer so I can see them more often. But since they don't, I will cherish the time I do get to spend with them. This last weekend was Easter Sunday. We visited with my ex-inlaws in Millsap Texas, had a great dinner and enjoyed watching the children have their Easter egg hunt.

This was the first time my Grandbaby participated in the hunt. Last year he was only one month old. So this was a real treat. I loved watching in look at those eggs with wonder, picking them up with his chubby little hands and his Mommy opening the plastic one's to reveal a baby snack inside. Lol he was so cute. He kept getting stuck on one egg and had no interest in finding others haha.

I bought him a little gift for Easter, a little blue soft stuffed bunny. Of course he has every toy in the world so he didn't seem to interested in this bunny but that was okay. His Mom just sent me an adorable picture of him holding his bunny while sitting in his car seat. I just love this picture. He is sooo precious. God love the Grandbabies:)

Mentos and Diet Coke???

Just wondering but has any of you heard of dropping Mentos candy into a bottle of Diet Coke and an explosion will occur? I was at the store earlier and a man was buying the wrong kind of soda. The young cashier told him it had to be diet Coke to get a good explosion. Of course I had to butt in and ask what he was talking about. He told me what happens. He said you drop them in the bottle and run like hell. I'm wondering---> what happens if someone has Mentos in their mouth and they drink Diet Coke? Do they die?

Extreme Couponing!

I'm watching TLC's Extreme Couponing. This lady had 9 carts of groceries, totaling $1050.00, she gave them her coupons and paid $51.00 cash. WOW! but she also paid $70.00 for the coupons on-line. That still a huge savings. But she had tons of stuff that she won't use for years. Her husband called it all crap. I say she should donate lots of it to a food pantry. Do any of you use coupons?
